Midnight Run's Spring 2010 Litters:
We have two litters going home this Spring. The
first one, out of Nena by Cisco, was born in January and the pups
will be ready to go home on or after March 13-14. Due to an unexpected
change in circumstances faced
by one of my buyers, I now have a girl available from this litter.
The second litter, out of Rio x Rigby, is due on April 1, 2010, and
the pups will be ready to go home in late May. I am still
accepting one more deposit for each a boy and a girl out of Rio's litter. See below for information on these
two exciting breedings.
Nena
& Rio Cuddling on the Couch
Litter #1 - FC AFC Si Cisco JH x Shiloh's Midnight Run

Cisco's Pedigree
Nena's Pedigree
This is a repeat of a breeding that I did last year.
Cisco and Nena are, first and foremost, pets. They both have excellent temperaments and loveable personalities, making them great companions in the home. Nena is particularly easy going and a joy to have in the house, preferring to spend much of the day curled up on couch or sitting at my feet while I work at my desk.
Cisco is also my constant and loyal companion, with a strong desire to please and a sweet personality. Cisco has an exceptional temperament and loveable personality. He is easy going in the house and also content while traveling the country for field trialing and hunting. He loves people, adults and kids alike, and has never met a stranger. More importantly, he passes these wonderful traits on to his offspring.

Don't let Cisco's calm demeanor and easy going nature fool you, though. He is a proven performer in the field. He has a keen nose, beautiful style on point and incredible drive and desire to hunt. Simply put, Cisco is a bird dog.
Cisco is both an accomplished field trial dog and hunting companion. As a two year-old, he took 3rd Runner-up at our breed's largest-ever Futurity (33 entrants) in 2006 and finished both his Field Championship and Amateur Field Championship in the Spring of 2009. Cisco was also named the Vizsla Club of Michigan's Amateur Gun Dog of the Year for 2008.
Cisco is not just a field trial dog, but also a productive hunting companion. I've shot pheasants over him in five different states. His excellent nose, pleasing style and intensity on point are matched only by his drive and desire in the field. He has the stamina to hunt all day and often does.
Cisco passes his prowess in the field on to his offspring as well. His first mating to my female, Rio, produced the Vizsla Club of America's #1 Top Ten Puppy/Derby dog in the country for the latter part of 2008 and the first half of 2009.
One of Cisco's very first breedings produced Bailey (Bailey's Rooster Dreamin), who took 3rd place at the National Shoot-To-Retrieve Association's Ohio Regional Championship in early May 2009. Bailey is the first Vizsla to place in the Top 6 in the history of the Ohio Regional (he was also the only Vizsla qualified to run in this year's field of 56 dogs). Bailey has been invited to compete in October at the NSTRA's 2009 Dog of the Year Championship. Last year's DOTY Championship featured 192 dogs and there wasn't a single Vizsla!
A number of Cisco's other offspring have field trial placements and hunting test titles, and they are all loved family members.
Nena has similarly proven her worth afield. After only one spring of trialing, Nena's prowess in the field catapulted her to #5 on the Vizsla Club of America's Top Ten Puppy/Derby list in 2007, where she remained for another year, despite no longer competing due to poorly timed heat cycles, until dropping off the list when she turned two years old in the Spring of 2008. Nena was named the Vizsla Club of Michigan's Puppy/Derby Dog of the Year in 2007.
Nena is a quiet and easy-going companion in the home, while displaying dynamic abilities afield. Nena has a long nose, breathtaking style on point, exceptional instinct and a strong desire to hunt. She is a small female, but powerfully built. She is short-coupled and displays tremendous athleticism and groundspeed.
Nena's
lineage is impressive. Nena's grand-sire, Jumping Jack Flash, won the Vizsla
Club of America's National Amateur Field Championship in 2006, and
her grand-dam, Jazzmin, placed at the Vizsla Club of America's
National Field Championship and National Amateur Field Championship
in 2007. Her sire is a two time Runner-Up Champion at the National Vizsla
Association's National Quail Championship.
Because this is a repeat breeding, references are available upon
request. I still have one female available from this litter. If you're interested, please do not delay and contact
me via phone or e-mail.
Litter #2 - Crimson's Lord Rigby of Linden x Rio Le Rouge
Rigby's Pedigree
Rio's Pedigree
I try not to play favorites with my dogs, but Rio is my favorite. She has an exceptional temperament and loveable personality, making her the best companion I have ever had in the home. Rio is particularly easy going and quiet, preferring to spend much of the day curled up on couch, in front of the wood stove or soaking up the warm sun in the bay window. She's even been known to sneak in a nap or two on my bed upstairs. If I could have one dog for the rest of my life, it would be her. She's just that special.
Don't let her calm and quiet demeanor in the house fool you, though. Rio is a dynamo in the field. She has a keen nose, tremendous intensity on point, incredible drive and desire to hunt. She is the best bird finder I have ever hunted over. She matured very early and was a prodigy in the field. I was shooting pheasants over her in South Dakota at 6 months of age, and placing in derby stakes with her at 10 months of age. After continued success throughout her field trial career, Rio was the Vizsla Club of America's #1 Top Ten Puppy/Derby Dog in 2006 with a total of 692 points. She passes her prowess in the field on to her offspring as well. Her first mating to my male, Cisco, produced the VCA's #1 Puppy/Derby Vizsla in the country for the second half of 2008 and first half of 2009.
Rigby is an up and coming young sire owned by Mark & Pam Spurgeon of Crimson Sky Vizslas from Belvidere, IL. Despite his youth (he's only three years old), he is already an accomplished field dog. Rigby needs only 2 points to finish his AKC Field Championship, and last fall he won the Midwest Vizsla Shooting Dog Championship, making him an American Field Champion. In 2007, Rigby placed in the Vizsla Club of America's National Puppy Stake and received an Award of Merit in the National Derby Stake. In the Spring of 2008, Rigby took 2nd Runner-Up at the Midwest Vizsla Futurity. Mark also regularly hunts over Rigby. Rigby also shares Rio's wonderful temperament and lovable disposition, making him a a great companion in the home as well as the field.
Rio and Rigby come from two of the best field bloodlines that the breed has to offer. Rigby's father, Zack, is a National Amateur Field Champion, a Dual Champion (Show AND Field), Amateur Field Champion and a Master Hunter. Rio's father, Raany, is a Field Champion, Amateur Field Champion and Senior Hunter, and the second all-time producer of field champions in breed history. Given their pedigrees, its no wonder why I expect so much from Rio & Rigby's pups. Rio's hips are OFA rated GOOD and Rigby's are OFA rated EXCELLENT.
I am still accepting one more deposit for a male and a female from this litter. If you're interested, please do not delay and contact me via phone or e-mail.
